"COG" is an abbreviation for Council of Governments.

  • There are 11 COGs in Oklahoma, each representing a multi-county planning district. Each of the state's 77 counties falls within a COG region.
  • COGs are partnerships of - and provide resources to - the local governments in their regions.
  • COGs perform a host of critical functions that positively affect quality of life and economic development.
